Background
Dr. Kim Kuhn is an Acupuncture Physician and the founder of Elevate Wellness in St Petersburg Florida. She opened this beautiful clinic after moving to St Petersburg from Santa Cruz California. She specializes in orthopedics, sports medicine, dry needling, as well as reproductive medicine and mental health. She also treats many internal medicine issues including digestive issues, auto immune issues, sleep disruptions and hormone imbalances.
Her journey in holistic healthcare began nearly 30 years ago as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. Throughout her career as a therapist, she embraced a whole-person approach, helping individuals uncover root causes, navigate challenges, and create meaningful, lasting change in their lives. This backgrounds contributes to her creating a safe and healing environement.
Early in her practice as an LCSW, she was trained in auricular acupuncture and witnessed first hand the profound impact it had in supporting patients through addiction recovery and emotional healing. Inspired by the effectiveness of acupuncture and its ability to address both physical and emotional well-being, she began collaborating closely with acupuncturists and saw how integrative care could transform lives.
That experience sparked a new path—one that led Dr. Kim to pursue a degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine. She was drawn to its philosophy of treating the whole person and its ability to support healing of the mind, body, and heart. Today, she combines her background in mental health with her training in acupuncture to provide compassionate, individualized care that addresses a wide range of health concerns.
While Dr. Kim has developed a particular passion for orthopedic conditions, sports medicine, pain management, injury recovery, and athletic performance, she enjoy treating patients with diverse health needs. Whether someone is seeking relief from chronic pain, stress, anxiety, digestive concerns, reproductive health issues, sleep disturbances, hormonal imbalances or other health challenges, including being on a fertility journey, her goal is to help patients achieve their health goals, restore balance, improve function, and enhance their overall quality of life.
Dr. Kim believes the best healthcare is collaborative and integrative. By working alongside physicians and other healthcare providers, she strives to ensure each patient feels supported, heard, and cared for as a whole person.

When Dr. Kim isn’t in the clinic, she enjoys spending time with her dog Luna and 2 cats,Riley and Juan Henry. She loves being outdoors, biking, and paddleboarding. Her happy place is in the mountains where she loves to mountain bike and hike.
