Dr. Kim Kuhn is an Acupuncture Physician and the founder of Elevate Wellness in St. Petersburg, Florida. She opened this beautiful clinic after moving to St. Petersburg from Santa Cruz, California. She specializes in orthopedics, sports medicine, dry needling, pelvic floor dry needling, as well as reproductive medicine and mental health. She also treats many internal medicine issues including digestive issues, autoimmune issues, sleep disruptions, and hormone imbalances.
Her journey in holistic healthcare began nearly 30 years ago as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. Throughout her career as a therapist, she embraced a whole-person approach, helping individuals uncover root causes, navigate challenges, and create meaningful, lasting change in their lives. This background contributes to her creating a safe and healing environment.
Dr. Kim believes the best healthcare is collaborative and integrative. By working alongside physicians and other healthcare providers, she strives to ensure each patient feels supported, heard, and cared for as a whole person.
One thread, two careers
Licensed Clinical Social Worker
Nearly 30 years ago, Dr. Kim began her career as an LCSW, embracing a whole-person approach that helped individuals uncover root causes, navigate challenges, and create lasting change.
Trained in Auricular Acupuncture
Early in her practice, she trained in auricular acupuncture and witnessed firsthand its profound impact in supporting patients through addiction recovery and emotional healing — inspiring her to collaborate closely with acupuncturists and see how integrative care could transform lives.
Degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine
That experience sparked a new path, drawing Dr. Kim to a philosophy of treating the whole person and supporting the healing of mind, body, and heart. Today, she combines her mental health background with her acupuncture training to provide compassionate, individualized care.
